Groundworks Supervisor
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as Remediation Groundwork Supervisor as part of our Remediation team.

About the role
The Remediation Supervisor will be responsible for assisting the Site Manager in the on-site delivery of large-scale remediation and enabling works projects. The role will include on-site supervision of a team of machine operators, labourers, and other ancillary construction industry specialists during the execution of remediation/enabling works projects and will include input into daily planning of operations on-site, safety leadership and co-ordination of works.
Role responsibilities
- On-site Supervision of operational team and management of tasks allocated by the SM/CM
- Works and logistics planning
- Safety leadership including delivery of toolbox talks
- Daily works briefings
- Daily reporting including works diary, daily check sheets and plant inspections
- Co-ordination of works on-site with subcontractors
- This role may require support on-site delivery in the completion of other routine tasks such as fencing erection, plant movements, vehicle marshalling, off-loading and loading, etc. as required.
- Excavator operation (up to 50T machine)
- Crusher/Screener operation
- Loading Shovel operation
- Previous work/ knowledge on Asbestos in soils
- NVQ level 2 in a construction related field.
About you
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each key task satisfactorily. This will include relevant licences, certificates and competencies to operate plant safely and effectively, industry standard qualifications for site supervision and relevant training for working with asbestos in soils.
- Supervisory experience 2/3 years
- Able to work in a dynamic team environment, as well as working independently.
- Flexible approach to work and location
- Able to take instruction and follow through with actions in a considered and accurate manner
- Presents a professional image at all times
- Full driving license. Clean.
Optional (desirable)
- Excavator operation (up to 50T machine)
- Crusher/Screener operation
- Loading Shovel operation
- Previous work/ knowledge on Asbestos in soils
- NVQ level 2 in a construction related field.
