Demolition Estimator
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as Demolition Estimator/ Assistant Estimator working at our Warrington office as part of our Demolition team.
Salary: Up to £45,000 depending on experience
About the role
We are looking for an Estimator (or Assistant Estimator, depending on experience) to join our busy demolition estimating team. The core focus is demolition, but there will also be opportunities to work across our other service lines. An experienced Estimator will be expected to take tenders from start to finish, while those developing into the role will receive training and support to grow into that responsibility.
The role calls for accuracy, attention to detail and a clear understanding of tender processes, bills of quantities and drawing take-offs. Strong IT skills are essential, along with the ability to balance quality with timely output.
Role responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for demolition and associated works
- Review and interpret drawings, tender documents and bills of quantities
- Carry out take-offs and ensure accuracy in measurements and pricing
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain rates
- Compile and submit tenders in line with client requirements and deadlines
- Attend client or bid meetings as required (for experienced Estimators)
- Provide clear updates to the estimating team and management
About you
- Experience working with tender documents and bills of quantities
- Strong numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and MS Project
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across the UK
Desirable
- Previous experience in estimating within demolition, construction or civil engineering
- Construction-related qualification (HNC, BTEC, degree)
