Business Systems Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as Business Systems Manager working at our Leeds office.

Salary: £55,000-£65,000 depending on experience

About the role         

We are seeking a strategic and technically adept Business Systems Manager to lead the development, integration, and optimisation of our business systems landscape, with ownership of the Microsoft environment, covering Dynamics 365 Sales (CRM), Business Central (ERP), and SharePoint/Teams/Power BI. This role will also support other core business systems (Syrinx, Sage200 & Site Packs).

This is a senior role, pivotal in ensuring our technology delivers measurable value across the business. You will set the vision, align stakeholders, manage the product roadmap and drive adoption of solutions that improve performance and support business growth.

 Role responsibilities

 Product Implementation

  • Own the Business Central and Dynamics products to support the ongoing implementation project.
  • Support with product training and user adoption in preparation for, and post project go-live.
  • Champion best practice use of the system to ensure business usage is in line with desired ways of working and drives efficiency into our business processes.
  • Manage the post go-live product roadmap, including future enhancements and new application development based on your knowledge and expertise of the Dynamics and Business Central systems.

 Strategic Product Leadership

  • Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap for our Microsoft platform, aligned to company strategy and global business needs.
  • Shape the product portfolio, balancing enhancements across CRM, ERP, and collaboration tools to maximise ROI.
  • Monitor industry trends and Microsoft product evolution to ensure our platforms remain future-ready.

 Value Delivery & Prioritisation

  • Own prioritisation for a global product portfolio, informed by data, market insight, and business outcomes.
  • Deliver measurable improvements in adoption, efficiency, data quality, and business KPIs.
  • Provide analysis and support for product adoption, ensuring users are regularly refreshed on best practices, and usage remains high quality.

 Governance & Standards

  • Establish and maintain product governance frameworks, ensuring consistent processes, role-based security, and compliance with data regulations.
  • Maintain platform integrity by reducing unnecessary customisation and championing Microsoft best practice.
  • Create and maintain product documentation including release notes for future enhancements, and product specifications for input to future projects.

 Stakeholder & Partner Management

  • Act as the senior product lead building consensus across geographies and functions.
  • Champion the system and share best practice with the business to maximise ROI.
  • Direct and challenge third-party partners and vendors, ensuring delivery to agreed SLAs and budgets.

 Change, Release & Adoption

  • Oversee release planning, UAT, global rollouts, and change management to ensure smooth adoption.
  • Design and deliver enablement activities, training, and communications to support successful platform usage.

About you

  • Proven experience as a Business Systems Manager (or equivalent senior role), within a mid-large organisation.
  • Deep technical and functional knowledge of:
    • Dynamics 365 Sales – CRM process design, forecasting, pipeline, customer service or field service modules.
    • Business Central – core finance, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory, and manufacturing/warehouse operations.
    • SharePoint/Teams – document management, collaboration, and intranet solutions.
  • Track record of delivering business outcomes and measurable ROI through enterprise product management.
  • Excellent leadership, influencing, and communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Vendor and partner management expertise, including negotiation and budget oversight.
  • Experience with data governance, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance.
