Rhodar trains 33 Mental Health First Aiders

Posted on in Company News

Over the course of this year, Rhodar has organised three Mental Health First Aid courses across the country. We are pleased to announce that we now have 33 Mental Health First Aiders across all sites, including site and office colleagues.

We have had fantastic feedback from participants, who said they will not only use what they have learned in their work roles, but their personal lives too. One of our employees commented: “I’m very conscious that mental health is still considered a bit of a taboo subject, so I wasn’t sure how I was going to find the course, but it was brilliant and I feel like I have a much better understanding now, and I’m in a better position to observe and support where it might be needed.”

The statistics surrounding mental health are staggering, with 1 in 4 people experiencing poor mental health each year. Therefore, initiatives such as this are vital, to enable us to continually provide help and support, when and where it’s needed.
