SAFEguard is a scheme for making sure that our employees who work with asbestos meet our employment requirements, are competent and medically fit. Most of all SAFEguard is to keep you and others safe.

The SAFEguard Rules
You must :-
- Be properly trained.
- Comply with Lexia’s drugs and alcohol policy.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment / RPE.
- Work safely and comply with all health and safety rules.
- Only do those things you are competent and, where necessary, qualified to do.
- Report any accidents, incidents or safety concerns immediately.
- Co-operate with any authorised persons carrying out an investigation, spot-check or audit.
- Attend medicals, training and assessments when required.
- Complete a CRB or Disclosure Scotland check, if requested.
- Provide proof of your identity (e.g. driving licence, passport).
- Provide proof of your right to work in the UK (e.g. passport, birth certificate).
- Provide a copy of your driving licence if you drive company vehicles.
- Look after all your personal documentation.
You must not :-
- Work excessive hours.
- Eat, drink or smoke in unauthorised areas.
- Use abusive language or behaviour towards anyone
- Put yourself or others at risk.
