Safeguard
A Step Change in asbestos abatement management by raising standards.
Introduction
Safeguard is the Rhodar scheme designed to ensure that we work in a safe manner in all that we do. It is designed to ensure that the key elements of our health and safety framework are effectively communicated throughout the organisation in a clear and concise manner, and that the key messages are kept at the forefront of everyone’s mind.
Safeguard is about behaving in a way that keeps everyone who comes in to contact with Rhodar safe. It therefore covers;
- Ourselves
- Our colleagues
- Our partners
- Our customers
- Our neighbours
- The public, and
- Our environment.
Key Aspects of Safeguard
Safeguard has been designed to allow the key messages to be clearly understood, throughout the whole organisation.
In some case it acts as an essential first step and more detailed knowledge may be required in certain areas depending on your role or particular responsibilities. Safeguard will ensure that you are directed to where you can get this greater knowledge from.
Safeguard does not replace our detailed policies with regards to health and safety, employment practices, driving policies or any other policy. Instead it seeks to clearly link these policies together and articulate them in as a coherent whole.
Safeguard should therefore be at the forefront of all that we do, and we should all act by the maxim of “Don’t rely on others, if you think it is unsafe, stop work and report it”.
